LAY-LED MINISTRIES

  • Woodland Trails Prediction Runs 2020

Are you looking for a fun active way to fellowship this summer? The Woodland Trails Prediction Runs may be what you're looking for. Every Thursday, at 6:30pm there will be weekly 3k and 5k races held on the FBC campus.

As the name implies, these runs aren't your ordinary race! How it works is a little different. First, you predict your time before you run. Second, run your race without the use of a watch, or time being called. Finally, report your actual race time. Places are determined by how close participants come to their predicted time.

    DATES: June 11, 18, 25 July 9, 16, 23, 30

  • The Mighty 300

    • This is for the Men of FBC. As men of FBC we choose to band together, back-to-back, shoulder-to-shoulder, digging in and standing firm - fighting this war together!

    • This is Biblically based. Everything we do as warriors for Christ is based upon our instructions for battle found in God’s Word!

    • Our Passion. Our passion is to see men grow in their walk with Christ, strengthening in the faith, submitting to God and resisting the devil!

    • This is A Band of Brothers. No one is in this alone - no one is by himself in this war. Together we make an impenetrable force for Christ and the gates of Hell will not prevail! Together we are striving to be men of God, men of purity, men of integrity, men who understand the times we are living in and are CHOOSING to submit ourselves to God, stand firm in the faith and conviction of the Scriptures, and through Christ fight Satan and all his host of Hell.

  • Deaf Ministry

This ministry ensures that an interpreter for the deaf is available during our second service each week (10:45 am). It's a huge blessing to have the lyrics to our worship songs and weekly sermon interpreted for those in our congregation who are deaf or hard of hearing. If you are fluent in sign language and are interested in being a part of this unique ministry, contact Tina Miller.

  • Fight Club

Calling all men! Fight Club is a 10-week journey where men are required to complete weekly challenges within the context of community and accountability. It's all geared toward helping men to step into their God-given calling to lead and to pursue Christ with their lives.

The theme verse for Fight Club says it well:

"After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, 'Don't be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your borthers, your sons, your daughters, your wives and your homes.'" - Nehemiah 4:14

  • Revive Elkhart

Each Tuesday evening, a group of believers gathers in downtown Elkhart to reach out and love on individuals and families in our community. Using the Revive model, teams head out to engage in conversations with people we encounter. Our goal is to show love, listen, discern, and respond with the hope-giving message of the gospel if God gives an opportunity. This outreach opportunity is open to anyone!
