LAY-LED MINISTRIES

  • Ladies Bible Study: All Things New

A Study in 2 Corinthians by Kelly Minter

The city of ancient Corinth was much like our own modern-day cities: a melting pot of electrifying cultural experiences to be had, along with the myriad pitfalls of spiritual depravity. Still, Paul wrote to the church of God in Corinth. Meaning God's church is meant to thrive in any city and every circumstance in which we find ourselves. Paul's letter is as timely as ever.

Over 8 sessions, Kelly Minter will lead you through the letter of 2 Corinthians, exploring the anchoring truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay, meeting Christ through a pressing thorn, opening wide your heart in the midst of hurtful relationships, and what it means to embrace the lost and lonely as ministers of the new covenant. Each of us has a message to proclaim and live by: Because of Jesus the old has gone, the new has come.

Ezekiel Chapters 1-31 | "Then you will know that I am the Lord."

God appointed Ezekiel as a watchman to warn his people of coming judgment. Seeing visions and performing signs, he called individuals to turn from wickedness to righteousness because God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. How does this message of Ezekiel apply to you? Are you grieved about the sin everywhere you look? Do you long for justice?

  • Bible Quizzing

Bible Quizzing is an equipping ministry! It is a great tool for in-depth study and memorization of Scripture. God uses both the study and memory verses for growth, encouragement, discipleship, etc. This ministry not only benefits our church but also other churches in our league. The competition between churches is not only fun, but serves the purpose of kids spending more time in the Word. God promises that His Word will not return void but will accomplish His purposes!

Bible quizzing is available for grades K-12. Practices are at ECA on Wednesdays from 4:30 - 5:30 and begin Sept. 12. Quizzes are once/month from October - March. This year's study focuses on Genesis 27-50 (Jacob/Joseph).

CONTACT: If you're interested in signing up your child or in becoming a coach, please contact Bret and Shari Deardorff.

Throughout the year, the group plans activities including:

A Spring marriage retreat – 2 day overnight retreat

A Summer Couples Get-together – Usually a cookout for couples only

A Fall Family Harvest Party – A harvest party for the whole family

    Additional activities at our discretion

  • FBC Ladies' Mingle

God hasn't designed us to walk through this life alone! There's just something special about ladies coming together and encouraging each other to live out God's purpose for their lives in whatever season they're walking through. That's why a group of our women plan and organize a beautiful gathering once a quarter to bring ladies together for fellowship, fun, encouragement, and inspiration. It's called the Ladies Mingle, and you're invited to join the next one!

You can look forward to hearing more about the next Ladies Mingle in February!
