It is the mission and desire of FBC Youth to work alongside parents in order to REACH and EQUIP students with the gospel of Jesus Christ; teaching them how to better love and know God, His Word, and those created in His image.
We believe that God is working powerfully in and through the lives of our middle and high school students here at FBC. We want your son or daughter to feel right at home here. Here are answers to some questions we're asked frequently:
What age group is considered Student Ministries?
FBC Youth is uniquely designed for 7th - 12th graders. We promote everyone during the second week of August, but we always welcome incoming 7th graders to join us on all our summer trips!
When and where do you meet?
We meet every Sunday evening from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Loft at FBC. It's on the west side of the second floor - you can't miss it!
What happens during Youth Group on a typical Sunday evening?
Well, we typically begin the night by having a live band lead us in engaging worship. Afterwards, we listen to a relevant message from God's Word. We close the night in adult led, age-specific discussion groups where your son or daughter can form strong, close relationships with both leaders and peers. It's always a good time.
How can I find out more information?
We'd love to tell you more! You can call the church office at 574.295.4475 and ask for our youth pastor, Eric Shelner.
Here are some upcoming activities, events, and opportunities for your students to get involved with us.
Summertime is here and we've got some exciting plans ahead!
Junior High and High School students are invited to join us for an AMAZING week of summer camp in northern Michigan at Lake Ann Camp. Your son or daughter will enjoy a week full of age-specific programming and relevant teaching from God's Word to deepen their faith and encourage them spiritually. In the process, they'll have a ton of fun playing crazy games, enjoying the lake, eating delicious food, and making life-long memories with their cabin and counselors. This year's camp week is happening on June 25-30th. To register for Lake Ann and to learn more, visit their website today!
With questions, contact Eric Shelner.
High School students are invited to take part in this summer's Wilderness trip from July 20-26.
This is a life-transforming experience that will challenge students and provide space and margin to spend time with the Lord and with their team while making spiritual life application along the way.
